Speed Dating The Musical3/29/08-6/21/08
World Premiere, by Resident Playwright Scott Woldman
Music by John and Sandi Stoesser
No opening lines needed. No wingman required. No walk of shame in the morning. It’s the ultimate in modern-day match
making. It’s Speed Dating.
You’re right there at every table as this group of lover seekers (or at least one-night standers) puts it all on the
line for the coveted prize – a chance to have their phone number passed along to the person of their dreams, for a chance
to have that person call them, for a chance to go on a date, for a chance to hit it off, for a chance to fall in love. You’ll
be amazed at how attracted, disturbed, insulted, infatuated, repulsed, worshipped, horrified, engrossed, and ashamed one can
become during a five minute date. Especially when they’re singing about it. Suggested Rating: R for adult language
and content
Select Saturdays at 10 p.m. from March, 29–June 21, 2008
Tickets $16.50

America's Prize Winning Musical
Music and Lyrics by Sherman Edwards
Book by Peter Stone
Based on a concept by Sherman Edwards
Directed by ensemble member Ronan Marra
featuring ensemble members Vincent L. Lonergan, Joseph Stearns and Philip Winston
Set during a "hot as hell" summer in Philadelphia, 1776 is the Tony Award-winning musical about the seminal act in American
history: the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Sectional differences, pride and fear threaten the Declaration and
the fledgling nation. The score features hits such as "Sit Down, John," "He Plays the Violin" and "Mama Look Sharp."
"1776 is a most striking, most gripping musical." —New York Times
"In this cynical age, it required courage as well as enterprise to do a musical play that simply deals with the events leading
up to the signing of the Declaration of Independence. And 1776 … makes no attempt to be satirical or wander off into
modern by-paths. … The result is a brilliant and remarkably moving work of theatrical art." —New York Post
