Buffalo Theatre Ensemble's The Fantasticks

Also good were Davis as The Narrator, Whalen as Matt and Kellett as Luisa. Whalen and Kellett as the young lovers were believable and related to each other beautifully, especially on the "Soon It's Gonna Rain" number....Whalen did an admirable job vocally with a couple of more difficult songs. -Randall G. Mielke. Beacon News

North Central College's Measure for Measure
"I thought Matt Whalen as Angelo was best in the very disturbing "assault" scene. His physicality was very precise and frightening...I did very much get the sense of disconnection and remoteness of the character that this production was emphasizng...I also thought he did a fine job playing up the sense of status that defines the character." Kevin Trudeau, American College Theatre Festival Adjudicator. Lewis University.

Summer Place Theatre's Jekyll and Hyde

"The board of governors was well played by Joseph Tokarz, Kyle De La Cruz, Martin Gonzalez, Matt Whalen, Kimberly Moorman, and Zachary Miller; the standouts where Joseph Tokarz as the Bishop and Matt Whalen as Proops.  Todd Vincent, Reviewer. NICOTH.com

North Central College's A Midsummer Night's Dream

"Matt Whalen, 05, stole the show as Bottom. Whalen gave a very strong, comedic performance..." Betsey Lupole, staff writer, North Central College Chronicle
